THE WALLED CITY FINALLY OUT!!

Photobucket
These caustic emissions have been entombed for over a year, buried for reasons undisclosed yet unknown, festering and maturing to the point of near total decomposition, we feel that now is the time to exhume and disenbalm these disturbed chronicles and discharge them unto the world. With previous offences on cult labels Bunker and Human Shield, Cestrian now offers MNX five tracks of mournful, brooding machine music telling of dark times in our murky history and warning of an uncertain future, far beyond human comprehension. Also known as Ali Renault [one half of electronic disco supergroup Heartbreak], the multi-talented synthesizer maestro has risen to notoriety with some of the best and most consistent releases on hit labels Dissident, Lex and Cyberdance, and although this release treads an altogether darker path, the undeniable pulse and throb runs deep through all his work. Strictly Limited to 300 Copies!!!

CLAUDE R.I.P

Just heard news that my beloved cat Claude has died. Our neighbour ran him over. Needless to say i'm gutted. He'll always look at us through the human shield 004 window.
Goodbye my lovely cat... x

Propper Old Skool Graff

The basement of Afflecks Palace in Manchester is half taken up by a shit club (well at least it was the last time I was there) with the rest being used as a stock room by the shop above, Cafe Society, where I worked on and off for the best part of 6 years as a donkey boy. Originally it was the cafe for the department store which used to occupy the building back in the day. Theres loads of room down there and its a bit of a pity it isnt put to better use. Apparently, before Cafe Society got hold of it it used to be the original home of the record shop Eastern Bloc when they just did mail order. Well thats how the story goes anyway. I assume that this grafitti dates from those times. Theres loads more like this, all by someone called 'Buck' I presume. Nice.

MAZZA

Seen dis outside the local Maserati garage (what you mean you don't have local Maserati garage?). Ah it shone lovely in the Manchester gloom. Whats the model? I know not much about cars but I know this is fucking desirable. Just needs a big HS logo on the doors and bonnet.

DA FLAWED GALLEON

Coming soon: Totally contrived vaguely arty special party for the Futersonic 08 electronic music festival in Manchester. We are planning lots of really stupid things and you're going to have to dress up. Think environmental disaster meets local history tour. COME OFF!!!

More details to follow

Oh and heres a nice new logo for a future release

Theres some fool trying to tell me that theres nobody dancing, at one point he tried to close my laptop on me during the set!
anyways, check out the very end, a girl shouting 'METALLO!!!!' class..

"Rewrite & Record LP's Recorder".....

*Check this out*

Can't figure out whether or not you can record more than just your voice on it via the wacky microphone thing or whether you can record via a different source on what look to be xlr connections on the back.

I'm very tempted.....

Beaky Monster Claws & The Wizard of Bass

Here is a little video of me and Bla doing our thing at STFU Edinburgh earlier this year. Listen to the sound of the really awful bass. Bass you say? Yes thats the bass the thing that sounds like a shiny violing being played inside an oil drum.

Yazoo - Don't Go(Rare Live)

Wesley Brendan The Liar

HS snack of choice: Spicies.

Modern Electronic Folksong Mix

Click here for the freaking micks.

Theres no tracklisting as the tunes are non-real, all written by me, titles are changeable.

Welcome to the 2008

Its only just already 2008 and already we have achieved very little. Aldi Renois and the London contingient have been releasing themselves off all over the place like some messy boys with spasms from Cestrian, Heartbreak and the Renault and up here, after a relocation and centralisation of operations, the next two Human Shield records are forming themselves in the main mixing gland, and will be flying at you like so many frisbees of vinyl sometime during February. First up will be Mr. Psik and DNCN's massive 'Kryst' with a remix from Tim Wright closely followed by the terrible metallic groan of a split 12 from Renault and MANASYt. Check the H.S. myspazz page in the coming weeks for taste of whats to come.
